Aaron Wan-Bissaka will say ‘farewell’ to Man United fans tonight as Reds will listen to offers

Man United right-back, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, will say farewell to the fans tonight, as the club will listen to cut-price offers for the Englishman.

Manchester United Football Club are set for a big night at Old Trafford this evening. The club will be saying their goodbyes to Raphael Varane, with the Frenchman recently announcing his departure from the Theatre of Dreams.

Well, it turns out that may not be the only goodbye. According to The Sun, a certain 26-year-old is set to say his ‘farewell’ this evening; Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Apparently, a t-shirt has even been printed in his honour, with a picture of ‘The Spider’ holding the Carabao Cup trophy aloft.

It’s stated that the Reds are set to listen to cut-price offers for the star, with Wan-Bissaka having just a year left on his deal. Simply put, he’ll have to be sold during this window, or United risk losing him on a free next summer.

The £50m purchase is looking set to leave for a considerably lower transfer fee, dropping the asking price to around £20m.

Wan-Bissaka has been a constantly solid defender for the Red Devils since his arrival from Crystal Palace. He’s perhaps the best one-on-one full-back defender in the world. However, his attacking output is often non-existent and that sometimes holds United back. While it would be sad to see him go, it does make sense to let him leave from a stylistic point of view.

I don’t doubt that the side who eventual signs Wan-Bissaka will be getting an excellent footballer for excellent value for money.

The Sun also state that Anthony Martial is set to wave his goodbyes tonight, too. It’s certainly going to be a big night at the Theatre of Dreams.
