Manchester United’s Adnan Januzaj has been linked with a potential loan move in recent weeks, as last season it seemed that Louis van Gaal didn’t really fancy the youngster, but he certainly shown faith in the 20-year old by giving him a start last night.
Januzaj’s intent is clear, and he quashed the rumours straight away:
Adnan Januzaj said: “It was only rumours. I’m happy here.”
Its nice to see the young Belgian come out and dismiss the rumours straight away, he even took to Twitter to deny them the day the paper linked him with a loan move to Sunderland, and that’s the kind of attitude we need at Manchester United.
He made his first start of the season in the #10 role and scored the only goal of the game against Aston Villa, despite struggling for the majority of the match – probably due to a lack of any real rhythm, as it was his first start in six months.
Hopefully he’ll now get a regular run in the side and rediscover that superb form he displayed in his debut season.
