Agent confirms offer from Manchester United for his client: report

Manchester United’s interest in Alvaro Morata has been well documented. The 24-year-old striker didn’t really get to display his talents all that much whilst at Real Madrid due to the sheer quality in front of him in the team, now, it seems to me like a deal could be close.

His agent, Juanma Lopez, has confirmed that Morata has an offer on the table from Manchester United and now the decision is in Real Madrid’s hands to consider that offer. Lopez also confirmed that Milan did make a bid, but their offer was deemed unsatisfactory.

“Manchester United is a great club, a very interesting option,” Lopez told Calciomercato, translated via The Peoples Person.

“I can say that this is a very important proposal and now the decision is Real.

“Yes Milan did feel Morata, there have been frequent contacts with us until a few days ago, I can confirm it. Real Madrid has simply found the Rossoneri club’s offer unsatisfactory.”

To me, this is a huge hint that things are progressing nicely. It seems as though the Red Devils have their eye on the Spaniard as our main striker for next season – and I’m delighted.

He’s a brilliant footballer, with a bag full of tricks in his arsenal. He’s quick, great in the air and he’s willing to work hard on both sides of the ball. Replacing Zlatan Ibrahimovic was never going to be easy, but if I had to handpick a striker tailor-made for the Premier League, I’d opt for Morata every single time.

We have to remember that Jose Mourinho knows Morata well from their time together at Real Madrid, and this is a manager who knows exactly what he wants. In fact, I don’t think there is a better boss in the world at fixing problems within a team, and he has my full backing.
