There’s a chance that Alejandro Garnacho could make his Man United return vs West Ham this weekend.
Manchester United have now been without Alejandro Garnacho for two months. The young star picked up a problem at the start of March, ruling him out for a prolonged period.
Life has been harder without the winger, who has often made an impact off the substitutes bench this season. We’ve missed his flair, directness and general skill. However, his return is close.
Not too long ago, Garnacho posted a picture of his football boots, hinting that a return would be close.
Well, I’m pleased to report we’re now closing in on that comeback, with Erik ten Hag sharing the latest in his pre-West Ham press conference.
According to the gaffer, United ‘maybe’ set to get the player back from injury vs West Ham this weekend, though ‘we’ll have to see’.

“No, I think it will be the same squad,” Ten Hag told reporters, including ManUtd.com. “Maybe one player [to add]: Garnacho. I have to see.
“Maybe he can be involved but we will have to see how the progress can go.”
Obviously, United want their key asset back as soon as possible. He’s an absolute game-changer who can flip matches on their heads single-handedly. The quicker he’s ready, the better it is for the whole club.
However, Ten Hag will be feeling way about rushing Garnacho back too quickly. He’s still a young kid after all, no doubt chomping at the bit to get on the field sooner rather than later. The last thing United want to do is bring him back too quickly and risk further injury.
I’d honestly be surprised if we see him out on the pitch against West Ham this weekend, with the Wolves match the following Saturday feeling like a more realistic possibility.
