Alejandro Garnacho has committed his future to Man United, signing a new deal until 2028.
Manchester United have had a pretty mixed couple of weeks. Losing to Sevilla and dropping points away at Spurs hurt, though progressing into the FA Cup final was brilliant.
The Red Devils need all their key players to be at their absolute best during the run-in. They also need as many bodies out of the treatment table as possible.
Alejandro Garnacho is one of the lads who is returning. No doubt he’ll be feeling even more confident after today’s news.
The young Argentine has committed his future to Old Trafford, penning a new deal until 2028. United confirmed that earlier today.
It feels like the third time we’ve seen Garnacho put pen to paper recently, though this is what happens when you perform at a high level early on in your career. United, rightly, want to protect their asset. They recognise they have an absolute gem of a footballer in this young teenager.
It’s crazy to think that Garnacho has already played over 30 senior games for this club already, aged just eighteen. The world really is his oyster if he remains grounded and continues to work hard.
United now have five more years of Garnacho, taking him to the age of 2023 assuming he stays in Manchester fur the whole contract. Even then, he’ll be a few years off his peak which is crazy to think about.
Thankfully, he’ll be back training with the lads soon. His impact, be it as a starter or off the substitutes bench cannot be understated. You look at the damage he caused City when coming off the bench during the game at Old Trafford. We’d all love a repeat at Wembley in a month or so…
Congratulations, Alejandro!
