Alejandro Garnacho has now been given the opportunity to train with the Man United senior side.
For years now, our youth sides have been the pride of this club. Yet again, it’s the young lads keeping the Red flag flying high this term, as the U18s gear up for an FA Youth Cup final. On top of that, the U23s continue to dazzle with some brilliant performances.
It’s fair to say at those age groups, United are flourishing. Those squads are jam-packed with talent. From Will Fish to Charlie McNeil, to Charlie Savage and Joe Hugill with a little bit of Hannibal Mejbri sprinkled in for good measure.
Without question, the breakout star of this season is Alejandro Garnacho. He’s already earned himself an Argentina international call-up, despite being yet to feature in a Red Devils matchday squad.
Well, the 17-year-old United starlet has been promoted to the first-team training fold ahead of our game vs Everton this weekend, Reds youth expert @jb_8521 would confirm. Shortly after, photos of Garnacho in amongst it emerged.

At this stage, United have nothing to lose in regards to our young players being involved in some games before the end of the season.
Our campaign is done and why not take a glimpse into the future? We’ve done it before with the likes of James Wilson and Marcus Rashford, so why not see what Garnacho can do?
No doubt the Argentine will feature heavily on our pre-season tour this summer, but we’re all chomping at the bit to see how he fares in the Premier League. It’d also give Erik ten Hag a closer look at whether Garnacho is capable of being a contender for a first-team spot in 2022/23.
Congrats on the training promotion, Alejandro!
