Alex Telles has admitted he feels better than before, as he gears up to make his Man United comeback.
Manchester United’s start to the season can be described as steady. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Red Devils are looking pretty good in most areas, though there’s still work to be done.
This is a squad that has multiple players in each position, though at left-back, Luke Shaw has had to do it all on his own to start this campaign – due to an Alex Telles injury.
Well, the Brazilian has been on the mend since surgery at the start of pre-season and it’s good to see him back out on the grass.
Obviously, it’ll take him a little while to get up to speed. However, that hasn’t stopped the United star, who seems resilient and ready to make his return, admitting he wants to ‘win the lot’ at Old Trafford.
Check out what Telles had to say here:
“I feel good. Things happen in football. I wasn’t very happy about that [the injury] but I took advantage of the situation by working harder.” Telles told ManUtd.com.
“I feel better than before, I feel better prepared and stronger, physically and mentally. I’m much better and I’m thrilled to be back.
“Whenever I get the chance to play, I’ll give everything for Manchester United to win the lot.”
You have to love this attitude from Telles. It’s so easy to forget that this man is a winner. He played for arguably the best side in Portugal, scoring goals galore and proving himself a ready leader out there.
The English game is obviously much tougher, but we’ve seen Telles’ quality. This is someone who offers a different dimension, someone Solskjaer can call upon who can 100% be trusted.
Obviously, it’s going to take Telles a little while to get fully up to speed, but judging by these comments, he’s keeping spirits high and his attitude is in a great place right now.
I’d suspect it’ll be at least another few weeks before we see Telles starting games, but it’s nice for Solskjaer to have another option. As of right now, our squad is looking in pretty good shape. If we can keep these guys healthy for the full campaign, I’m certain we’ll be fighting for the title in May.
