Alex Telles has been training with the Brazil national team over the weekend, despite claims he’d tested positive for COVID-19 again…
It’s fair to say the left-back’s time at Manchester United has been somewhat bizarre. After playing an absolute blinder against Paris Saint-Germain, Alex Telles would test positive for the virus, meaning we haven’t seen him in action since.
However, he’d be disease-free just before the international break, though the Everton game would come slightly too quickly for the Brazilian to feature.
Telles would then jet away for Brazil duty, before he’d then test positive for COVID-19 again. Brazil issued a statement on that positive test over the weekend, claiming that Telles can still feature as he’s no longer in a transmissive stage.
Whether he can play against Uruguay in Brazil’s upcoming game remains to be seen. If not, you’d presume he’ll be sent back to Manchester, where United officials will begin to determine his availability ahead of the West Bromwich Albion game this coming Saturday.
Anyway, Telles took to his Instagram page to share the snap of himself in training with his international teammates, despite the aforementioned positive test…

With Luke Shaw now set to be missing for at least a month, we need Telles now more than ever. This was supposed to be his opportunity to show us all what he can do, while looking to cement his place within that starting XI.
If he cannot feature for another couple of weeks due to this positive test, it’ll be a welcome chance for Brandon Williams instead. At this point, though, we’re all looking to see our new man in action on a consistent basis.
Hopefully, Telles is in fact past the transmissive stage and he can partake in United’s sessions and games upon his return. It is nice to see him out on the training pitch, though!
