Alexis Sanchez has left Manchester United – in the short-term at least.
The superstar Chilean will head to Inter Milan on a season-long loan, where he’ll look to rediscover his brilliant best and kickstart his career at the ripe old age of 30.
Quite frankly, I find it sad that it didn’t really work out for him here. Sanchez is a top-quality player, and while at Arsenal he was right up there amongst the best in the country.
Anyway, shortly after his departure was confirmed, Sanchez took to Instagram to post a classy photo alongside his United teammates, wishing them the best for the upcoming season.
First and foremost, this shows me that Sanchez’s relationship with his teammates wasn’t as bad as we were led to believe. It’s nice of him to go and say his goodbyes to them before heading off to Italy.
The best result from all involved is that Sanchez goes to the Serie A and plays well. From that point forward, it becomes a win-win for United.
Who knows, if Sanchez does well out there, he could come back to Old Trafford with renewed confidence and show the world just how good he can be for us next season…
