Ander Herrera explains why he absolutely loves working under Jose Mourinho

Manchester United finally seem to have found some consistency in their results. The last few months have been pretty good for the Red Devils, with Jose Mourinho’s men already scooping one trophy, and looking good to make it into the final of another.

One player who has been truly outstanding, and detrimental to our good run of form is Ander Herrera. The midfield maestro brings some much-needed energy to the side, as well as a real desire and fighting spirit. In my opinion, he is captain material.

Now, the Basque-born midfielder has been speaking to the media about Manchester United’s season as a whole, whilst explaining that he is loving life under Mourinho as he feels valued by the self-proclaimed Special One.

“The previous seasons here I was happy, but with Mourinho I have found the balance and stability,” Herrera said, as per Sky Sports News. “He gave me a lot of importance from the beginning of the season. I feel I always have his support. That helps you perform better when you have your manager behind you.

“It is not only me. Everyone in the team feels the support of the manager.”

“We are ready. We are in a good moment. We are a difficult team to beat. It is not so easy to score against us.”

Last season was quite bizarre. It felt like everyone knew just how good Herrera was, except the man that mattered; Louis van Gaal. He’s one of very few mobile midfielders we’ve seen over the last few years, and he has definitely been a breath of fresh air to watch.

It just goes to show what a good run in the side can do for you, both physically and mentally. When you feel valued by a world-class coach like Mourinho, that can only improve your mindset, and the club is certainly reaping the rewards right now.
