Manchester United Football Club held their annual Player of the Year awards ceremony yesterday, with David de Gea once again scooping the main prize. However MUTV pundits and Ander Herrera shared a joke, and claimed that the 26-year old midfielder should have got his own award.
They say that Herrera should have won ‘Tackle of the Year’ for the pull-back on Everton’s Ross Barkley in the dying embers of the cup semi-final.
MUTV suggest to Herrera he should win Tackle of the Year for Barkley challenge. ‘I know you like it! I had to do it!’ #mufc

At the end of the day, we may not be looking forward to an FA Cup final if it weren’t for that cynical tackle. Everton were on the counter attack and looking threatening when Herrera made the correct decision to take a booking for the team.
Although many fans expected Herrera to have a greater impact this season, that five minute cameo in the semi-final will go down as one of the best. He made the aforementioned foul, and then in typical Ander fashion, he battled on to provide Anthony Martial with a stunning assist.
