In an interview with Brazilian media outlet Globo Esporte, United midfielder Anderson has apparently tried to leave the club ‘many times’ but claims the matter is out of his hands. Since his big money move from Porto back in 2007, Anderson hasn’t lived up to his full potential and still hasn’t held down a regular starting spot.
When asked about the possibility of leaving Old Trafford, Anderson told Globo Esporte: “What can I say? I have three more years of contract, I have tried to leave many times and never succeeded to do so.”
Although since then, Anderson used his Instagram account to give the fans this message:
Either way I’d be happy, if we were to sell him it’d mean more game time for youngsters like Nick Powell. On the other hand I’d like us to keep him because some of his performances this season have been absolutely superb, he definitely has something about him, he doesn’t tend to show it on a regular basis though.
