Andreas Pereira fires warning to FC Barcelona

Manchester United fans are currently looking forward to a huge Champions League tie against FC Barcelona.

The Red Devils overcame adversity to beat Paris Saint-Germain in the last sixteen, now an even tougher test awaits.

Perhaps the player within the current squad who knows Barcelona better than anyone is Andreas Pereira, after all, the Brazilian has spent two years in Spain on loan recently.

Before the big game, Pereira has been speaking to MUTV and it’s obvious he’s feeling confident. The 23-year-old has warned Barcelona that United will be ready; because this is a team that rises to the big occasion.

“Against the big clubs, we rise to the occasion,” Pereira said exclusively to MUTV.

“We show our character. We show the real Man United spirit and I think, after what we did against PSG, other teams will be more ready for that, so they will respect us even more.”

Putting the first leg against PSG aside, this squad has done brilliantly against the so-called big-boys. Away wins at Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham were all massive results, obviously as was the win in Paris.

The Red Devils will be hoping for similar magic this time around, too. Silencing Lionel Messi for 180 minutes is going to be extremely tough, but if the Old Trafford crowd get behind United, then who knows, it could be one of those special European nights in Manchester.

I just hope we see the best from the players. Some of them have shown a real mixed bag of late, but if each and every player turns up, then we have every chance of getting a result.
