Andreas Pereira is seeking to leave Manchester United for good this summer.
Under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Manchester United’s squad has dramatically transformed. Out with the old, in with the new. Dead-wood has been cleared, new players signed, though there’s still much work ahead for the Baby Faced Assassin.
One player who has already made his mind up is Andreas Pereira. According to the Manchester Evening News, the 25-year-old United star is preparing to leave the club permanently this summer.
Pereira would spend the 2020/21 campaign on loan with Lazio, though it’s understood that the Serie A side are reluctant to make that signing a long-term one. As of right now, the Brazilian is currently assessing his options in regards to where he’d like to transfer.
At this moment, there’s a very real chance Pereira could be loaned out again next summer, though the midfielder, understandably, would like a ‘clean break’ from Old Trafford.
It’s understood that there is interest in Pereira from both Spain and Italy, though his pretty average loan spell at Lazio definitely wouldn’t have helped his cause in that regard.
Pereira’s time at United is over. That much seems obvious. There’s just no way back into the starting line-up for the Brazilian and I actually don’t see Pereira even earning minutes from off the substitutes bench.
His value will never be higher than it is right now, so I’d sell while Pereira will fetch some sort of transfer fee, though it probably won’t be as much as the Red Devils would like – particularly as we’re still in the middle of a global pandemic.
Hopefully, a move away is sorted pretty quickly as it’s best for all involved.
