Andreas Pereira scores outrageous free-kick for Flamengo while out on loan

Andreas Pereira scored an outrageous goal for Flamengo last night.

Manchester United’s squad is now so deep that some players inevitably have to leave on loan to get their game-time.

The Old Trafford club chose to let Andreas Pereira play his football elsewhere for 2021/22. The Brazilian had often displayed inconsistent form while here in Manchester, meaning he struggled to start week-in-week-out.

He’d move back to his homeland to represent Flamengo for this campaign. Pereira has helped his side to second in the table, following a 3-1 victory over Juventude.

Not only did Pereira play an excellent game overall, he also came up with the moment of the match; the United star scored a spectacular free-kick midway through the first half to send the home fans into applause and celebration galore.

Check out Pereira’s stunning goal here:

Us United fans have always remembered Pereira for his inconsistency. Sadly, that’s why he never began games every week here in Manchester.

However, we also know he’s capable of the special goal. We’ve seen it numerous times at the Theatre of Dreams and this is just another stunning goal to add to his repertoire.

It always baffles me how with Pereira, there’s no middle-ground. If he could find that consistency within his game then I would have given him a much better chance to make a career for himself wearing the famous Red Devils colours.

Sadly, that’s what’s deserted him. Which is probably why Pereira will be playing his football elsewhere on a permanent basis in 2022/23. That definitely doesn’t take away from what was a special, special evening for the attacking midfielder, though.

Nicely done, Andreas!
