Anthony Martial has been spotted back in first-team Man United training ahead of the game vs Real Sociedad.
Manchester United Football Club have been playing well of late, though the general feeling around the place is that the Reds would be in an even better position if Anthony Martial had been fit for the full season.
The Frenchman looked super sharp in pre-season, before picking up an injury late on in the penultimate friendly match. His campaign has been stop-start since, barely getting out on the pitch due to niggling problems.
It’s disappointing because even against City in the 6-3 loss, Martial made a huge impact. He’d follow that up with an assist, before coming off 30 minutes into the match due to another problem.
Well, I’m pleased to report the Frenchman is seemingly fit again. United themselves confirmed the news, which is a big boost for the club, with the key star back in training ahead of a huge Europa League match against Real Sociedad.

First and foremost, it’s about not rushing Martial into too much too soon. The attacker needs to be slowly reintegrated back into the line-up, rather than starting on Thursday and coming back too quickly, resulting in another injury being picked up.
As much as I’d love Martial to be named in the XI against Sociedad, it just feels like a big risk to take. He’s shown how important he can be to Erik ten Hag. Why not build up his minutes gradually, with a view to Martial starting games regularly again after the World Cup?
Either way, it’s good to see him back out there.
