Anthony Martial is seemingly back on the mend, doing some individual training away from the main group.

Manchester United’s goalscoring struggles have seemingly ended with Marcus Rashford in unreal form right now, though the lack of a clinical striker remains.

Many thought Anthony Martial was going to be that man heading into the 2022/23 campaign after a stunning pre-season. However, injuries have seriously disrupted the Frenchman’s term.

Wout Weghorst has done decently enough in Martial’s absence, though the Dutchman isn’t the long-term answer to the question, either…

During what is arguably United’s most important week of the season, the United star is now back in training after his latest injury. Martial was spotted doing some individual work away from the main group today – though he will not feature against FC Barcelona tomorrow.

Martial’s talent is undeniable. Sadly, he’s just never fit. Ten Hag is a manager who will not put up with passengers within his squad. No doubt his patience in the Frenchman is running out.

It’s now down to the former AS Monaco man to finish the season off strong and prove that he can keep himself available for a long period of time. With United still fighting it out on four fronts, Ten Hag is no doubt desperate to have his number nine ready to play at a moment’s notice.

I’d imagine that there’s now an outside chance for Martial to feature amongst the subs for the Carabao Cup final this weekend – though does he deserve a place in the squad? Probably not, but the temptation for Ten Hag is certainly there.
