Anthony Martial offered to Real Madrid, agent trying to find new club this summer: report

Anthony Martial could well be on his way out of Old Trafford this summer – that’s if his agent gets his way…

Manchester United’s Anthony Martial divides fans like no other. Some think he’s a future Ballon d’Or winner, others call him the laziest player they’ve ever watched.

His talent is undeniable, though he does have some inconsistencies to his game that do leave me worried about what Martial is going to turn up on any given day.

It’s fair to say 2020/21 was an absolute disaster for United’s number nine. Maybe, that has left Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with a big decision to make.

While speaking on the Transfer Window Podcast, Duncan Castles offered us some insight into where Martial’s future may lie.

Apparently, Martial has been offered to La Liga giants Real Madrid, while the agent of the 25-year-old United star is trying to find his client a new club this summer.

The deal to Madrid would be an initial loan move, presumably offering Los Blancos the option to buy on a permanent basis.

For what it’s worth, we’d all hoped Martial would have taken his game to that next level by now. He hasn’t.

I understand that the constant alternating of position from left-wing to striker definitely hasn’t helped his case, while injuries obviously hampered him severely over the last 12 months. Still, though, I’d have liked to have seen more output.

Perhaps what Martial needs is a change of scenery. The Spanish style of play would suit him down to the ground. It could be a brilliant move for all involved, particularly if Solskjaer isn’t as sold on the Frenchman as we all think.
