Anthony Martial is looking likely to remain at Man United until at least the summer.

This transfer window was all about thinning out the squad for Manchester United Football Club. Erik ten Hag’s side play way fewer games due to the lack of European football on offer, though it’s proving difficult to move some players on.

Donny van de Beek has left. Jadon Sancho is looking set to follow suit.

However, Anthony Martial is seemingly here for a little while longer…

It’s The Athletic with the story, who claim that the 28-year-old United star is set to stay at the club until at least the summer, with the Frenchman rejecting several approaches.

Marseille, Fenerbahce and several Saudi Pro League sides are said to have made offers to the former AS Monaco man, though Martial has turned hem down.

Martial is out of contract this coming summer, with United having no desire to activate a one-year extension clause in his deal.

For Martial, this is a purely financial decision. United will continue to pay his massive wages for the next six months – and it’s their own fault for giving the player such a huge contract at a time where he was playing distinctly average football.

It does say a lot about the player, though. Seemingly, he’s not all that fussed about playing week-in-week-out Rather, he’s in it for the money and he will likely play for the highest bidder next season.

I’m just ready to be rid of the Frenchman. He’s been here a decade now and outside from that debut goal vs Liverpool, he’s not really done anything of note to warrant a place in the team recently, despite the fact that Rasmus Hojlund himself is not scoring with regularity.
