Anthony Martial is all set to leave Man United this summer – though he could stay in the Premier League.

Anthony Martial is one of many Manchester United players who could exit the club this summer. The Frenchman has barely played under Erik ten Hag, largely due to injuries.

After a positive start to life in Manchester, Martial hasn’t improved as a footballer. The ex-AS Monaco man has merely existed, drifting in and out of the fold frequently.

It feels like Martial has never really had that desire to learn, develop and grow. Rather, he’s just content collecting his weekly wage and doing his job when called upon.

As a result, United have been trying to move on from the Frenchman. Obviously, it’s tough due to his massive wages.

However, the club have rejected the opportunity to extend his contract by twelve months, meaning Martial is a free agent this summer.

The latest we heard was that Martial was offering himself out to potential suitors. It makes sense as he looks to find his next home.

Now, Tuttosport, per Sport Witness, have an update on that front. Apparently, the imminent United free agent is now attracting Premier League interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

The London-based side are not the only club showing a keenness on bringing in Martial, who isn’t interested in signing a new Reds contract.

Juventus are also eyeing Martial due to his versatility, as he can play either as the lead striker, or off the left-flank.

The issue, particularly for the Italian club, is his hefty wage demands. Martial wants to earn at least £5m-per-year, which could be offputting for the Old Lady. Spurs would have no problem paying such figures, though you’d have to assume they’d rather that figure was substantially lower, given the fact that Martial has barely played for two seasons.

From a United perspective, it’s just about clearing some space on the wage bill. United want to wipe the slate clean and give the manager as much money as possible to spend in the transfer window.
