Anthony Martial’s agent responds to bizarre Wenger comments

Manchester United Football Club made a deadline day move to bring Anthony Martial to Old Trafford in a record breaking deal for a teenager. the 19-year old cost the club a whopping £38million, but he is rapidly paying that fee back with four goals in his first four outings for the club.

As you’d expect, Arsene Wenger has piped up on the situation and claimed he had the chance to sign Martial. However, the players agent has hit back at the French manager.

“In football, there are those who follow the players and those who buy them.” He said.

These comments are spot on. If Arsene Wenger really wanted to sign Anthony Martial he would have done so. He obviously would have had a better chance in the French market being of that nationality himself, so I don’t see why he feels the need to speak out.

It seems that every player who does well in England, Arsene reckons he had the chance to sign them earlier – but inevitably never makes the move.
