Manchester United Football Club are heading in a clear direction under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. This team is getting younger, hungrier and jam-packed with talent.
Credit where it’s due, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has done an excellent job at clearing out the dead-wood and moving this team in a different direction. However, there is still work ahead.
Amongst the positions that keep being linked to United is left-back, with Watford man Pervis Estupinan being talked up as a possible option…
Well, the Osasuna loan star has earned himself a ringing endorsement from United great and fellow Ecuadorian Antonio Valencia, who has talked up the 22-year-old’s proposed Reds switch.
When asked about Estupinan’s links to the Red Devils, Valencia responded:
‘From here, I send all the positive energies to Estupinan. Hopefully, it will happen.’ Valencia is quoted as saying on his social media, by The Metro.
To be brutally honest, I’ve never seen Estupinian play, though I trust Valencia’s judgement as a former full-back himself.
What’s also strange to me is that United continue to be linked with left-backs. There must be some truth to said rumours otherwise they wouldn’t keep popping up in the headlines. However, with a rejuvenated Luke Shaw rotating minutes with an emerging Brandon Williams, I can’t help but feel there are other priorities.
One thing I will say is that whoever we sign, we have to back Solskjaer all the way as he has been nigh-on perfect with his signings so far. If Estupinian is the next move, so be it, no doubt he’ll be backed heavily by the Old Trafford Faithful.
