Antony has taken to Instagram to send a heartfelt message to Man United fans all over the world.
Antony is here. Signed, sealed and delivered. It may have taken all summer to get the deal done, but I think it’s safe to assume Erik ten Hag is a happy man this morning.
Manchester United have a new winger. The Old Trafford club have some depth. The Red Devils have largely used a front three of Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Anthony Elanga this term – mostly due to a lack of other options due to Anthony Martial’s injury.
Ten Hag, from day one, made it abundantly clear that he wanted depth all over the field. Antony is someone who provides that in a number of areas, with the familiarity between the pair another huge selling point.
Antony himself has pushed hard for this move. Now that he’s here, the Brazil international seems absolutely buzzing.
Shortly after the deal was official and confirmed, Antony took to Instagram to send an emotional message to the fans. He absolutely seems excited about getting started!

I just love this attitude. Antony is a winner. He’d run through a brick wall for Ten Hag and that partnership have real belief and trust in each other. There’s nothing better than that at the highest level.
Antony desperately wanted this move to happen. He had to wait a while, some doubt probably crept in, though he’s here now. It’s time for the hard work to really start.
What I enjoy most is that Antony genuinely wants to be here. The Brazil international is rare in that regard, as over the last few years, we’ve never really been given that impression from signings.
Hopefully, this signals the start of a new era at United, with Antony a player who’ll certainly excite fans week-in-week-out!
