Arjen Robben rules out Manchester United switch

Dutch winger and one of the stars of this years World Cup, Arjen Robben, has ruled out a move to Manchester United. Despite claiming he and Louis van Gaal have a ‘special bond’. The 30-year old winger won the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich last year, and The Treble the season before, so you can hardly blame him to be honest.

Arjen Robben would’ve been nothing more than a quick fix. He only has a couple of years left at the very top but he would’ve come in and done damage straight away rather than harnessing and nursing young talent.

The only problem I have with Robben is that he can be too predictable as a left-footer playing on the right-hand side – similar to Angel Di Maria.

“I have a special bond with him,” said Robben. “He is the most important coach in my career. After the match he did ask me to come to Manchester.”

He added “It is not an option. I will stay at Bayern Munich.”

Personally I feel that Manchester United still need two centre-backs, a central midfielder and a right-back before they begin to look at the wingers. We have some quality out wide in the form of Adnan Januzaj, and on his day Antonio Valencia can hurt teams, so we should be sorting out other areas first.

  1. Yes we need a player(winger)with experience who’ll make impact right away and also considering him as a long-term investment,so Robben is that kind of player but Di Maria can be a future star looking at his age
