Arsenal in running to sign superstar from Man United in sensational deal: report

Alexis Sanchez hasn’t had the best of times at Manchester United to date. Sure, we’ve seen glimmers of hope from the superstar Chilean, but consistency is key…

Now, according to The Express, per the Bristol Post, The Gunners are sensationally in the running to re-sign the 30-year-old – less than a year after letting him go in a swap deal involving Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

I think the fact that this is even a rumour sums it up. Sanchez hasn’t been good enough, he’ll know what. He left North London in an effort to win trophies, somewhat ironically, he is now looking up at his former employers in the Premier League table.

Would I sell him back? Probably. Would Arsenal want him back? I’m not so sure. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, at that time, both Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial were flying. Since then, the pair have regressed.

At the time, we were all thrilled when Sanchez joined. He was expected to tear things up, control the game with his experience, produce those moments of magic through sheer talent. It looks like we were sold a dream, and when you lose a swap deal involving Mkhitaryan, that’s pretty damning.

Arsenal aren’t the favourites to land United’s #7, at this point, they’re in second place behind Paris Saint-Germain…
