Arsenal installed as favourites to sign Manchester United goalkeeper: report

Manchester United’s Dean Henderson is expected to leave Old Trafford this summer, with Arsenal his likely destination. That’s what The Sun write anyway, per the Daily Mirror.

The England U21s shot-stopper is currently on loan in League One with Shrewsbury Town, having acquired a real taste for regular first-team football.

However, United are preparing one final offer in a last-ditch effort to keep the Englishman at the Theatre of Dreams, although it’s looking like he’ll reject that deal.

Henderson has been at the club since aged fourteen, but do you genuinely see him breaking through into the first-team at United anytime soon? I obviously don’t see him getting ahead of David de Gea and Sergio Romero in the pecking order, so it probably makes sense for him to move on.

After being loaned out for a second time in consecutive seasons, the player will want that consistency and regularity in his surroundings, and although a move to Arsenal will be appealing, I genuinely don’t see him making his big breakthrough there either.

We’ll just have to wait and see, but don’t be surprised to see him move away from Old Trafford when the transfer window opens.
