Manchester United are finally closing in on their main man of this transfer window, Arturo Vidal, according to the Daily Mail. The 27-year old Chilean has been hotly linked with a move to Old Trafford all summer, but just when things look dead in the water, all of the sudden it looks like the move could happen again.
Its common knowledge that Manchester United need world class midfielders; Arturo Vidal is certainly that. According to reports, Vidal carries a £30million price tag, which, If I were Edward Woodward, I’d be meeting right away. For someone of his calibre its an absolute steal despite ongoing knee problems.
Signing Angel Di Maria just isn’t enough. We still need at least two new arrivals, and if we somehow managed to lure both Arturo Vidal and Daley Blind to the club before the window slams shut on Monday, it’d certainly be a successful summer.
Things were looking bleak a week ago, but its nice to see that we’re actively pursuing targets eventually. After last nights humiliating 4-0 defeat to MK Dons, we’re all aware that new bodies are needed now, rather than hanging on until January or even next summer.
