Manchester United have just one game left to play this season, then attentions will turn towards the FA Cup.
The Red Devils have four players named in Gareth Southgate’s England squad, with Ashley Young amongst the United contingent that are headed to Russia.
Almost 33 now, Young has never been to a World Cup with the Three Lions, but he’ll get one last international hurrah, and likely play in a few games over there, too.
When the news broke, Young immediately took to Twitter to post a photo of his younger self, along with stating that dreams do eventually come true.
Maybe this picture said I was gonna live my dream and go to a World Cup… dreams do come true ????? pic.twitter.com/kSM8VORdp0

If any United player deserves his chance to don out for England this term, it’s Young. He’s been absolutely sensational as a make-shift left-back and seriously, immense credit goes his way.
Changing your position, particularly at such a late stage in your career is something to be commended. This term it has all worked out perfectly for the former Aston Villa man, making the most ever appearances in a single season for United (37).
No doubt he’ll add one more to that this weekend during the FA Cup final, before adding to his 37 England caps out in Russia.
