Ashley Young Fit Again, Jones Illness Not As Bad As First Feared

Ahead of a crunch match against Everton who are rapidly turning into our bogey team, we’ve recieved the timely boost that Ashley Young will be fit again and is in line for a spot in the starting XI. It’s worth noting that the 4-4 draw against Everton probably cost us the title last season, they also beat us on the opening day this year.

This is arguably our biggest week of the season so far. With the Real Madrid clash coming up next Wednesday and with games coming thick and fast in three competitions, its absolutely vital that we have as many players fit as possible.

Phil Jones’ illness was also discussed in the weekly pre-match presser, and Sir Alex has condemned England U21 manager Stuart Pearce for making it public knowledge, but also added that his bout of shingles isn’t as bad as first feared.

According to reports, Michael Carrick will also be fit for Sunday’s game.
