Ashley Young’s agent in Milan today, Man Utd man eager to push through January move: report

Out of nowhere, a move away from Manchester United now seems to be a formality. The question remains whether the deal to Inter Milan will go through during this month or next summer.

Yesterday, we covered a story from the usually reliable Gianluca Di Marzio, in which it was claimed that Young has refused to play for United again – presumably in order to push through a transfer.

Well, it definitely feels as though positive steps are being taken (if you want Young gone, that is). According to FCInterNews, translated by Sport Witness, it is being claimed that the Man United star’s agent is set for a meeting with Inter Milan today.

Apparently, the versatile United man is eager to push through a move during the current transfer window, though the details have changed slightly.

Inter were initially offering a six-month deal, with a contract for another season if a certain amount of appearances were made by Young. Now, it’s a straight-up eighteen-month contract on the table.

As Sport Witness say, the reasoning behind the agent travelling to Milan isn’t clear, though what has been made crystal is that inter don’t want to pay a transfer fee – even if they were to sign Young this month…

Honestly, this is just one big mess – though I’m sure the majority of fans wouldn’t mind seeing Young gone.
