Manchester United centre-half Axel Tuanzebe is headed back to Villa Park on a season-long loan deal.
With Raphael Varane all-but a Manchester United player, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had a pretty big decision to make about the future of Axel Tuanzebe.
The 23-year-old defender hasn’t kicked on as much as we’d all have liked, however, there’s a brilliant player in there waiting to be unleashed.
Perhaps some of the fact he’s yet to fully develop is due to a lack of playing time. Obviously, the arrival of a certain Frenchman will only further hinder Tuanzebe’s development.
Despite playing a pretty big part in United’s pre-season, a loan move has now been sanctioned for the centre-half. He’ll link up with Dean Smith again, this time as a Premier League player at Aston Villa.
The 23-year-old United star looked delighted as the loan move was confirmed, holding his new club jersey aloft.

After impressing with the Villa Park club a couple of years ago during their successful promotion campaign, Smith has always kept a keen eye on Tuanzebe.
Now, the centre-back is at the Midlands outfit yet again, ready to make his mark.
Dare I say it’ll be tougher for him to break into the team this time around? Particularly as Tyrone Mings has formed an excellent partnership with Ezri Konsa. I just hope Tuanzebe can get himself in that side on a regular basis as otherwise, there’s no point in him going out on loan.
All the best, Axel! Go smash it.
