Bale told not to make Manchester United move ‘under any circumstances’

Manchester United have been trying to make that marquee signing since Louis van Gaal’s arrival at Old Trafford, but that hasn’t happened of yet. Recent reports say that Gareth Bale could be closer than ever to joining United, but he has been told not to make that move at all costs by Sky’s Tony Cascarino.

“The only move Bale should not make, under any circumstances, is sign for LvG he wouldn’t thrive under him.” Tony Cascarino said. “Old Trafford has become a graveyard for flair. LvG system does it to attackers. It subdues them and negates their attributes.”

The Sky pundit then went on to say that Angel di Maria found out about it the hard way, and then left less than twelve months into his United career. However using Di Maria as an excuse seems to be a bit unfair as the Argentina never really seemed to settle in Manchester.

At the end of the day, Gareth Bale scored goals for fun at Tottenham Hotspur and he has Premier League experience. If United could somehow prise him away from Real Madrid, he’d flourish at the Theatre of Dreams.
