Newly appointed Barcelona manager, Gerardo Martino, has admitted that Cesc’s future now lies in his own hands. This has changed dramatically since last week when Martino insisted that Fabregas wasn’t for sale at any price, giving United that little glimmer of hope…
David Moyes made the Spaniard our #1 transfer target a couple of weeks ago and has been diligently pursuing him ever since. Its unclear as to whether a third bid has been made for him, but United must have been given some encouragement as the 26-year old still hasn’t said anything publicly.
“I’ve talked to Cesc, I explained him my idea.
“Of course we want him to stay, he’s one of the best in the squad, so it’s up to him.”
Fabregas played his first minutes for Barcelona this season, scoring a brace off the bench.
