I think it’s fair to say that Manchester United’s start to the season has been inconsistent at best.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team have struggled when it comes to scoring goals, with the full burden (of late anyway) falling on Marcus Rashford’s shoulders.
The young Englishman hasn’t had much help which does explain why Rashford has looked a little short on confidence. However, his stock is still seemingly rising amongst the football world.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the United star Rashford is wanted by Barcelona, though the Nou Camp club are also keen on Roberto Firmino. However, the Catalan side would prefer to sign the United attacker over the Liverpool forward as they’re unsure about the latter’s suitability.
Barcelona are after a long-term replacement for an ageing Luis Suarez who has been inconsistent, though the Uruguayan’s form to start this season has actually been pretty good.
Rashford only signed a new Red Devils contract recently so the ball is in United’s court here. They’re under absolutely no pressure whatsoever to sell should they not want to.
It’d probably cost at least £100million for United to even think about dealing their young forward, though the fact that he’s homegrown only lessens Barca’s chances at signing Rashford…
