Manchester United’s move for Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic seems to over, according to the BBC’s Simon Stone. The journalist took to Twitter to claim that a move for the 28-year-old is 99% dead, despite the fact that the Red Devils were close to agreeing a fee at one point.
It comes as no secret that Jose Mourinho has been chasing the signature of a winger this summer, but it feels like no more moves will be made during this transfer window in my opinion.
Told Perisic to @ManUtd is 99% dead. Clubs were close re fee at one point but Inter owners dug heels in.

Perisic is a cracking player, and no doubt he would have brought something different to the table, but now it looks like Mourinho will have to look elsewhere.
Personally, I feel as though it doesn’t really make any sense to sign a left-sided attacker – particularly given the start to the season that both Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial have made. The duo have been nothing short of sensational, and bringing someone else in would only hamper their long-term development.
If I had to pick one area that still worries me personally, I’d look at addressing the left-back situation. Luke Shaw is an immensely talented young man, but unfortunately, he just cannot get himself fit right now which is massively frustrating.
