Manchester United have headed in a different, more positive direction over the last month or so under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Quite frankly, it has been refreshing to watch.
While the new manager has his preferred players, others have been somewhat forgotten about. One young man who has found minutes hard to come by is Scott McTominay. Now, a big decision could be made regarding his future.
According to the BBC, the 22-year-old is subject of loan interest from both England and Scotland – although United haven’t decided whether they want to let him leave or not.
Apparently, the decision could be made in direct correlation with what happens regarding Marouane Fellaini which makes sense. Losing both would leave United extremely short in a key area of the field.
With that said, McTominay needs to be playing regular football. He’s a talented young lad and his growth is being stunted as he sits on our bench doing nothing. Whether he moves up North and follows in Demetri Mitchell’s footsteps, or drops down to the Championship, both are great options that he should explore.
Hopefully, he heads away, gets some solid football under his belt and comes back ready and hungry for next season.
