Zlatan Ibrahimovic is finally expected to put pen to paper on a contract at Manchester United. The BBC say that the deal for the influential Swede is close to completion, and is expected to go through before the end of the week.
The 34-year-old is a free agent after his contract at Paris Saint-Germain expired, and he has never played in the English league before – something that everyone has craved for.
Now, the Manchester United fans are about to get their wish, with Ibrahimovic set to become the second signing of the summer under Jose Mourinho.
Ibrahimovic didn’t want the deal to go through until the start of July due to a clause in his PSG contract – entitling him a £1million loyalty bonus if he stayed at that club until then.
That deal goes through on Friday, so expect Manchester United to confirm the move for the striker any time after that – probably before the weekend is out.
