Manchester United take on Manchester City tomorrow, in a huge encounter at The Etihad Stadium.
Jose Mourinho’s men will be looking to come away from the game with at least a point, but the self-proclaimed Special One will know how monumental of a task this is.
Before the game, things could well have just gotten even harder, with the news that Paul Pogba hasn’t travelled to the team hotel with the squad; making him a major doubt to play against Pep Guardiola’s men. That’s according to the Manchester Evening News.
The midfielder has been nursing a problem following the stunning come-from-behind victory away at Juventus, but it doesn’t look as though Pogba has been passed fit for this one. That’s a massive blow.
Pogba was instrumental during the 3-2 victory United earned at Eastlands back in April. His shoes are certainly big ones to fill. Personally, I think we’ll see a trio of Nemanja Matic, Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera. That immediately concerns me as there is a real lack of creativity in that threesome. Hopefully, I’ll be proven wrong tomorrow, but I have serious doubts.
Manchester United’s squad in full:
De Gea, Romero, Grant, Young, Darmian, Lindelof, Bailly, Rojo, Jones, Smalling, Shaw, Matic, Pereira, Fred, McTominay, Herrera, Mata, Lingard, Fellaini, Martial, Sanchez, Lukaku, Rashford.
