Bookies slash odds on 45-year-old boss replacing Jose Mourinho at Man United

Jose Mourinho will no doubt be looking over his shoulder at this point in time.

Manchester United Football Club are in a real mess. Winless in four, out of the Carabao Cup, already nine points off the Premier League pace. It’s looking bleak.

The self-proclaimed Special One may well find himself out of a job sooner than we all think. Then, attentions will turn to a replacement.

The popular name seems to be Zinedine Zidane. However, according to the Daily Record, bookmakers have slashed the odds on 45-year-old Brendan Rodgers taking the time.

Previously at odds of 66/1, Rodgers is now into 10/1 to replace his Portuguese counterpart. Although, you’d imagine it’d be tough for United to make the move for him; particularly with his Liverpool links.

Then there is the question of whether Rodgers would want to leave Celtic. They haven’t started this season all-too-well, he’s trying to turn things around both domestically and in Europe.

Would he be good enough? One thing is for certain, at least we’d have a go and attack teams. You have to say that Liverpool’s best challenge at a title came under his leadership. That says an awful lot about the quality he has. However, I’d still have my reservations.

What about you?
