Manchester United have been dealt yet another cruel blow on the injury front, as Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera has been ruled out for three weeks with a cracked rib. The 25-year old has made a superb start to life at his new club, but this latest setback will see Herrera miss key games against Manchester City and Chelsea.
The news was broken by the usually reliable Mark Ogden, before Manchester United themselves later confirmed that they’ll be monitoring Herrera ‘over the next few weeks’.

This is a huge loss. We’ve needed that type of midfielder for a few years now and when we get one it seems like we’re constantly without him due to injury. With Wayne Rooney also suspended, this means that Darren Fletcher will probably come back into the side, but after getting used to the mobility of Ander Herrera, this is hugely disappointing.
