Brendan Rodgers seems to be the manager that Man Utd have set their sights on.
Manchester United could well be in the market for a new manager in the not too distant future. Honestly, I thought we’d already have one in place at this point, but the club have decided to stick with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer despite some bad results.
Well, perhaps behind the scenes, the Red Devils are putting the feelers out about potential hires. The top target at this moment? Brendan Rodgers. The Northern Irishman seems to be the name most-linked with the position amongst the press.
Now, we have been given another update on his future and it’s a pretty big one from The Sun on Sunday. Apparently, the 48-year-old manager is house-hunting in Cheshire, as he moves a ‘step closer’ to the United job…
The current Leicester City boss was checking out homes in both Wilmslow and Alderley Edge, which will no doubt only intensify the rumours linking him with the Manchester United hot-seat.
The Sun seem to think that Rodgers will be boss in time ahead of the January transfer window, though they also claim he’ll be given no money to spend in the mid-season transfer period – as they believe our squad is already good enough.
After an emergency board meeting, Rodgers has been pinpointed as the man that United want to hire next, with the former Swansea manager and his wife now looking for a new home closer to Old Trafford…
I’d be a massive fan of this hire. Rodgers seems to be the ideal fit, on paper at least. He’s good with young players, excellent in the transfer market and he always gets the absolute most out of his playing squad. Aside from his Liverpool ties, I like everything about him.
