Bruno Fernandes is contemplating a Man United exit after the FA Cup final.
Manchester United are undergoing major change this summer – both on and off the field. The staff setup is changing considerably at board level, while dressing room adjustments simply have to be made.
Erik ten Hag may find himself out of work in a couple of weeks, too, meaning the club would be hitting the reset button once again. It’s a truly tricky situation.
One player who seemingly doesn’t want to undergo another rebuild is Bruno Fernandes. The man from Portugal is almost 30 now and he cannot wait a few years for the Reds to be competing at the highest level again.
As a result, The Sun state that the key United star is now ‘considering’ a summer move away from the club. He could make the FA Cup final his Reds ‘swansong’.
Fernandes has already hinted that he could leave Old Trafford and it’s a sad situation. I really cannot blame him if he wants to go, but the Red Devils dressing room would be a far weaker place without him.
Bruno is our main source of creativity, goals and energy. Losing that would be a crucial blow to either Ten Hag or any incoming manager.
Although United would probably receive a great transfer fee for the man from Portugal, amid interest aplenty, it’d be tough to replace his output with one single player.
The midfielder is attracting the attention of Saudi Pro League clubs, though I’d be surprised if that’s the route he decides to take upon his departure from the Theatre of Dreams.
