Bruno Fernandes contract talks ongoing, Man United make it ‘priority’: report

Man United are looking to tie Bruno Fernandes down to a new contract before the year’s end.

It goes without saying, Manchester United pulled off an absolute masterstroke when they signed Bruno Fernandes last January.

The midfield maestro has spent the last 18 months scoring goals galore and turning into arguably the best player in the country.

He’s the catalyst that this team needed. Helping us take that next step and push onto bigger and better things. Now, the Red Devils are looking to reward that with some fresh terms.

Apparently, talks are ongoing between Bruno and the club, with United making a new deal for the top-class 27-year-old a ‘priority’, along with Paul Pogba. That’s according to Fabrizio Romano.

On top of that, positive discussions are underway, while the player understandably wants to stay. In terms of timeframe, United want Bruno to commit to a new deal before the end of 2021.

Check out Romano’s tweet here:

If there’s anyone who deserves a pay increase, it’s Bruno. United’s willingness to offer the Portuguese star a new deal so early on tells you everything you need to know about his impact.

Goals, assists, an on-field leader and a born winner. Bruno has done it all for this club in such a short space of time. He definitely deserves to be compensated for that.

The good news is that it all sounds pretty straightforward. Both parties want the deal to happen so I guess it’s just about working out the smaller details and getting this deal done.

United are in a very, very good place right now. If they can sort out Pogba’s contract too, we’ll definitely be in business this season.
