Bruno Fernandes gave Cristiano Ronaldo a cold, awkward greeting as the pair met on Portugal international duty ahead of the World Cup.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s name is in the headlines at the moment – but for all the wrong reasons.
The Portugal international launched a scathing, deviously-timed, attack on Manchester United Football Club, via his pal Piers Morgan.
For many, Ronaldo’s time at United should be done. He’s burned his bridges here. For now, though, the attacker will head to the World Cup with his native Portugal.
Well upon the arrival of his teammate, Bruno Fernandes, the pair shared an awkward embrace, with Bruno seemingly giving his club and international teammate a frosty reception. Cheers to Sky Sports for the video.

This was awkward at best. Bruno seemed to not want to completely ignore Ronnie, but let him know that what he did was wrong – regardless of Ronaldo’s stature within the game.
It’s a weird one because although the pair may never play together again at the domestic level, they have to spend the next month with one another, trying to form some sort of connection on the field.
To me, this just makes me love Bruno even more. He’s captain material. He’s a true leader. He’s someone who wants to help United return to the top. He will not take Ronaldo badmouthing the club he plays for. I love it.
The whole situation is just super disappointing. United fans love Ronaldo. To see him bow out like this, while genuinely believing the fans will be on his side, is borderline naive.
Either way, I doubt he ever pulls on that United jersey again.
