Bruno Fernandes absolutely bossed it for Portugal as they won 3-2 vs Ghana in the FIFA World Cup.

Manchester United Football Club do not play again as a collective until the back end of December. However, the Red Devils have 16 representatives at the FIFA World Cup.

One of those played last night, as Portugal took on Ghana. The European side have a star-studded line-up, with Bruno Fernandes right at the heartbeat of their team.

The United attacking midfielder, who has been hit and miss so far this season, was nothing short of sensational – particularly in that second 45 minutes.

Portugal eventually won the game 3-2, with Bruno playing a major part in the win vs Ghana.

It was Bruno’s chance creation, typical work ethic and sheer willingness to win that propelled Portugal to victory.

Stat-wise, Bruno made three key passes, which culminated in two outrageous assists. He also won 100% of his aerial duels, which is somewhat surprising given his relatively small physical stature. The attacker also had 66 touches of the ball, completing 5/6 long passes. A well-rounded performance.

This is what Bruno can do. United fans, at one point, were quick to turn on the ex-Sporting Lisbon man. That’s because he plays on the edge. He’ll have games where those passes don’t hit the mark and that’s just the nature of his style. He constantly tries to make things happen.

I feel pretty confident in saying that, without Bruno, Portugal do not win that game last night. He was the heartbeat of that team, with the likes of Joao Cancelo and Cristiano Ronaldo looking a little below par.

Honestly, I just love watching Bruno play. He gets fans excited – and that’s what it’s all about.
