Bruno Fernandes has been named in the latest BBC TOTW, following yet another outrageous display.
Well, the result certainly wasn’t what the doctor ordered, though, in terms of positives, our attacking play looked excellent.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are capable of beating anyone on their day. It’s just a shame that defensively, the struggles are evident right now and it’s going to cost us points from time-to-time this season.
I’m sure that as we approach the summer, links to defenders will become an inevitability. For right now, though, let’s focus on the positives. Our front line is looking menacing and long may that continue.
For another insane performance, Bruno Fernandes was the sole United star named in the latest BBC Team of the Week. He was outstanding against Everton.

I mean, just look at that insane goal. You can watch it over and over again and still be left open-mouthed. It truly was a thing of beauty from a talismanic player.
The addition of Fernandes certainly has us in trophy-contention once again. Now, it’s about building a team around him. This season was always likely to be 12-18 months too soon before we’re genuine contenders, but we have to be feeling positive at this point in time.
With Solskjaer at the helm and watching this guys week-in-week-out in training, he’ll know what’s needed when the window finally opens. If we can keep ahold of our key attackers and use that as a base to build upon from, we have to be feeling good.
Now, attention turns to a pretty important FA Cup game against West Ham later. You can bet your bottom dollar Bruno will be starting in this one.
