Bruno Fernandes has been named in the WhoScored Team of the Month for October.
I think it’s fair to say for us Manchester United fans, Bruno Fernandes has been the absolute best thing about 2020. Our Portuguese Magnifico has breathed new life into a Red Devils side who needed that injection of quality.
From day one, the former Sporting Lisbon man has been that beacon of hope, offering us all belief that we will enjoy serious success with him in our team.
United have struggled domestically to start this season, though Fernandes’ class hasn’t wavered. He has remained a constant goal-threat, doing his absolute utmost to ensure this team doesn’t go down without a fight.
Unfortunately, we’ve dropped way too many points over the last month, through no fault of Bruno’s, I may add.
Anyway, for those top quality displays, Bruno Fernandes is the sole United star named in the WhoScored October Team of the Month.
Check out that team in full here:
Although October was a poor month, Fernandes orchestrated United’s emphatic 4-1 victory over Newcastle. He’d also tuck away a penalty against Tottenham Hotspur, while remaining our shining light during the 0-0 draw at home to Chelsea.
Let’s not forget that Fernandes would be handed the captain’s armband for the first time, too. Being handed that opportunity, despite being at the club for less than a year, is something he should be extremely proud of.
For Fernandes, the only way is up. He’s already won every single United fan on the planet over thanks to his incredible displays. We’re supremely lucky to have him and if I can read him correctly, he will not stop until success is achieved.
Congratulations for yet another brilliant month, Bruno. Long may they continue as this United side starts to improve their Premier League position while playing equally as well in Europe!
