Bruno Fernandes named in WhoScored Premier League TOTS so far

Bruno Fernandes has been named in the WhoScored Team of the Season so far.

I guess it had to be him, didn’t it? Bruno Fernandes has propelled this Manchester United side to the top of the table. He deserves every single plaudit heading in his direction right now.

What a fantastic year it has been for our Portuguese Magnifico. Goals, assists, leadership, work ethic. The ex-Sporting Lisbon star is flourishing at the highest level and it’s an absolute pleasure watching him play at this point in time.

We all expect Fernandes to make a positive impression, though we’d be lying if we knew he’d bring this much quality to the fold. It has been insane watching him single-handedly turn our future around.

It’s no surprise, then, that Fernandes is the sole United star named in WhoScored’s Team of the Season so far.

Check out the full WhoScored TOTS here:

Now the team doesn’t include last night’s 1-0 victory over Burnley, but as you can see, Fernandes is rated as the third-highest player in the country using WhoScored’s metrics.

His 7.61 rating is only bettered by Harry Kane and Jack Grealish – both of whom are also having incredible seasons from an individual standpoint.

To see Fernandes in there amongst the likes of Mohamed Salah, Heung-Min Son and the aforementioned Kane is brilliant. We’re talking about someone who has arguably been the best player in the country this term. He has to continue that if we’re to stand any chance at winning the top prize come May.

Hopefully, Fernandes can also stay injury-free. For as long as he’s in the starting line-up, we go into every game with a chance at winning it. Next up, Liverpool away. Another chance to send out a real statement to the rest of the Premier League.

Congratulations on your inclusion, Bruno!
