Bruno Fernandes is the talk of the town. From his wand of a right-foot to his insane work-rate, the Portuguese midfielder has been a genuine breath of fresh air for the Red Devils; and long may it continue.
Sporting Lisbon will be feeling pretty hard done by only getting £47million to let their prize asset leave, though their loss is our gain, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reaping the rewards.
After a sluggish start at home to Bournemouth today, the 20-time Premier League champions managed to turn it around with Fernandes once again at the heart of everything good about our play.
He’d end the game with two assists and one goal, with his sumptuous free-kick all-but wrapping up the three points…
Anyway after the game, Bruno Fernandes reacts on Twitter, while sending a message to the fans:
Suddenly, United have their midfield leader. Fernandes is a guy who’ll motivate and direct his teammates. Not only is he an outrageously gifted footballer, but he’s a leader of men who has a real aura and presence about him.
It’s actually pretty ridiculous how quickly he’s settled in to life in England, while the bond he’s forming with his new teammates is there for all to see. Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood have undoubtedly been the biggest beneficiaries thus far…
As Fernandes says, this team is one that will keep going right until the end, which is a trait that United have prided themselves on (although it hasn’t been the case recently).
Look, you can say what you want about Solskjaer as a manager, but I see someone who makes fantastic signings (like Fernandes), is tactically better than most fans give him credit for and, most importantly, he’s a winner. His record certainly speaks for itself and long may that continue.
With Fernandes in our team, we’ve a real shot at winning silverware this season, while the 2020/21 campaign could be one in which the Red Devils make a real push on the Premier League title…
