Bruno Fernandes is wearing a protective boot as a precaution.

Manchester United left absolutely everything out on the field over the weekend, when they progressed into the FA Cup final after beating Brighton.

The game itself was a tense, closely-fought affair for 120 minutes plus penalties, though in the end, the Red Devils came out on top, setting a date with Manchester City in early-June.

One man who didn’t take a penalty in that game was Bruno Fernandes. Our Portuguese Magnifico was substituted in extra-time. Later, it was revealed he suffered an injury in the first half of that game – but battled through.

Then, an image of Bruno sitting on his couch wearing a protective boot emerged online. This sparked further fear among the Old Trafford Faithful.

Well, according to Jamie Jackson, the United star is wearing said boot as a ‘precaution’ ahead of Thursday’s game vs Spurs.

This does lead me to believe that Bruno is winning his battle to be fit to take on Spurs, though we’ll learn more from the boss during his pre-match press conference tomorrow.

We witnessed it last Thursday. United are a totally different side without Bruno in the team – and not for the better. We lack any creativity when he’s not on the field and that’s something that needs addressing during the summer transfer window.

In the short-term, United have to finish the season strong and utilise Bruno as often as they can. Hopefully, he’s got enough in the tank to give us at least an hour during a huge game. If we win that match, then our chances of finishing inside the top four will rise drastically.

Get well soon, Bruno!!
